The Manufactured Image of Paul Biya: A Dictator Kept Alive by Photoshop and Fear

Life is a stage, and most leaders eventually bow out, but in Cameroon, Paul Biya and the Beti-Bulu oligarchy have refused to let go of power. At 92 years old, Biya remains “in charge” not because of vitality, legitimacy, or popular will, but because of a media machine that props him up with deceit, manipulation, and manufactured images.

For over four decades, Biya has ruled Cameroon with an iron fist(1982 till date….), outlasting eight U.S. presidents, five French presidents, and four popes. Once paraded across live broadcasts alongside his flamboyantly styled wife Chantal, Biya thrived on media exposure of wealth and excess. Today, however, his physical, mental, and psychological decline has become impossible to hide. Instead of stepping aside, the regime has turned to digital trickery.

A President Rebuilt by Photoshop and Deepfakes

State media CRTV has perfected the art of deception. With deepfakes and Photoshop, Biya is digitally resurrected each time he appears. Missing teeth are magically restored. A bald head becomes full of hair, a frail, emaciated body transforms into a robust figure. Every bizarre variation of Biya is pushed into the public eye—while independent live coverage is strictly forbidden.

Instead of genuine leadership, Cameroonians are served doctored images—crafted to project strength where weakness dominates. Once a visible figure at the UN General Assembly, La Francophonie, papal funerals, and other world stages, Paul Biya is now confined within CRTV’s carefully staged cameras. In the past, Biya monopolized nearly every frame—often taking up more than 98% of shots at national and international events. Today, he is reduced to split-second cameos in public appearances where live coverage is unavoidable. Viewers who are not attentive may miss Biya’s dazed, confused, and lackadaisical steps, as CRTV swiftly cuts away to other scenes or irrelevant footage in a desperate attempt to conceal the wobbling “lion man.”

In the English-speaking section aka Ambazonia, villages are torched, civilians massacred, and more than 200,000 people forced into exile. Over 53,000 lives have been lost in a conflict fueled by the same dictatorship that refuses to acknowledge reality, let alone accountability. The rest of the country swims in abject poverty exacerbated by one of the worst infrastructures in the world with daily road accidents etc.

A young image of Biya that hangs in government offices is no longer just a symbol of authoritarian power—it is a portrait of national deception. A dictator who is feared, not respected; preserved in pixels rather than principle. Updating the young picture with Biya’s current age picture is a crime punishable by imprisonment or dismissal and imprisonment. At 92 still seeking another seven-year-mandate, he is still to be physically present on the campaign field. However, his effigies are not in short supply by his followers.

Charles Ndongo: The Regime’s Chief Propagandist

At the helm of this machinery of manipulation stands Charles Ndongo, head of the country’s iron-fisted control state radio and television channel -CRTV (Cameroon Radio and Television). Charles P. Ndongo is an unapologetic Beti-Bulu loyalist. Nicknamed “the president’s journalist,” Ndongo has shadowed Biya for decades, producing glowing reports at home and abroad to polish the dictator’s crumbling image. Protected not only with legislation(Tax payer funding), policy and punitive sanctions on editorial content delivery deviation, Crtv journalists wear the batch of loyalty to Ndongo, Biya and the ruling CPDM party. Any deviations risk military arrest, torture and a transfer to Siberia/Nkondengui – the state’s congested torture prison. A French Cameroun journalist/blogger – Paul Moutila
accuses Charles Ndongo of turning the public-funded media house into, “Paul Biya’s talking drum,”, “CRTV, funded by public money, should embody pluralism. Instead, under Ndongo, it exclusively relays RDPC/CPDM propaganda, marginalizing dissenting voices and reducing the media space to a stage for political monologue.” he states.

Since his appointment on June 29, 2016, by Biya himself through a presidential decree, Ndongo has assumed the role of chief propagandist, ensuring no unfiltered image or message of Biya ever reaches the public. His orchestrated broadcasts fabricate vitality where there is decline, loyalty where there is discontent, and strength where there is weakness.

Biya’s continued grip on power—and the nationwide climate of fear he commands—owes much to Ndongo’s stage-managed propaganda. His role in Cameroon’s history can only be compared to Joseph Goebbels in Hitler’s Germany: the architect of state lies, the guardian of a dictator’s myth, and the chief enabler of authoritarian survival.

The African Union and the United Nations must stop enabling this charade. Continued silence is complicity in the crimes of a regime that survives through both brutality and manipulation.

Paul Biya’s carefully edited image may fool television screens, but it cannot erase the truth: Cameroon is a nation held hostage by a dying dictator, a complicit oligarchy, and a propaganda machine desperate to cling to power. Real change will only come when the masks, the photoshops, and the deepfakes are stripped away—and the will of the people is finally respected.

Nine years on in this civil war and the killings of innocent civilians continue by the French Cameroun Bulubeti soldiers. The question that baffles everyone now is, who is still giving these orders as the head of the armed forces in French Cameroun Paul Biya is literally in hospice? The reality of this answer is a disgrace to the United States especially the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that has issued uncountable memos to the frail and dying Paul Biya, to initiate a frank dialogue to tackle the root cause of this conflict that has claimed more than 53,000 lives.

Innocent Civilians Executed by French Cameroun Soldiers in Ndop 20 July 2025

According to sources embedded in the French Cameroun army, the colonial soldiers more than 600 from their regional camp at a locality called Koutaba planned a surprise assault on the Ambazonia State Army(ASA) in the area, on 20th July 2025, but the plan leaked out and they were met with fierce fire and a relocation of their camps. As usual, the soldiers then invaded a farming community of Babanki(Sabga0, where they arrested five civilians at gunpoint to lead them to the Ambazonia State Army hideout. When they failed to locate the Ambazonia soldiers, the French Cameroun Bulubeti soldiers then executed them and dumped them at the junction of a village called Bamessing. (Video below)

The Atrocity Crimes are not Reported

These crimes have largely been under-reported by organizations that governments around the world depend on for informed decisions such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Crisis Group, Genocide Watch among others. These organizations that are still to independently and thoroughly investigate these killings continue to use fake figures from the government of Cameroun that has no credibility in the eyes of its own subjects, talk less of the global community. Despite social media evidence of these crimes, the continuous use of these fake figures have helped to an extent to reduce the severity of this genocide that the Norwegian Refugee Council calls the world’s undereported conflict, thus providing cover for the continuous extermination of the English-speaking population with no remorse by Paul Biya with the baxking of Paris, in an attempt to assimilate the English-speaking minority. Paul Biya, 92, has outlived Three Popes since becoming president in 1982 (John Paul II – October 16, 1978 to April 2, 2005, Benedict XVI – April 19, 2005 to February 28, 2013, Francis – March 13, 2013 to April 21, 2025). A total of nine popes have ruled the Vatican in Biya’s lifetime. As a staunch catholic and former mass servant, Biya has been a constant visitor to the Vatican for the past 42 years alongside his wives. He had variously paid State Visits to the Vatican, and when news descended upon the world that Pope Francis had died on April 21, 2025, Biya and wife were expected to be at the funeral service held on Saturday, April 26, 2025. However, he was notably absent, represented there by one of his ministers – Atanga Nji. In addition to the pope’s funeral, Biya was no show at the inauguration of the 620 meters Logone River Bridge; a cross-border bridge connecting Cameroun and Chad. The presidential couple were again absent at the inauguration of Gabon’s new president, Brice Oligui Nguema, May 3, 2025, at a ceremony attended by 16 other African heads of states at a full stadium north of the capital Libreville. Mr. Nguema, who led a coup that toppled the almost 60-year reign of the Bongos, was sworn in for a seven-year term.

Fear of a Free Media

These are all ceremonies that Paul Biya and wife would have stole the show with another brightly colored dress . elaborate and gigantic wig, The question that begs for the reasons for these unique absences added to the Russia Victory Day (9 May) summit is where and why did Biya whom loyalists and state media continue to describe as strong and healthy absent? With a call by loyalist for the almost 93-year-oid dictator to seek another 7-year-term this year, one should have expected him to be active in these public events as he and wife used to monopolized such occasions years past. The answer is clear, Biya and his oligarchs now depend on AI. media manipulation to hold the country together. Biya remains the only name and personality that instills fear in the hearts of in French Cameroun This media manipulation was explicit during Macron’s visit to Yaounde in 2022, where French journalists ridiculed the fragile president during a press conference in which Macron was the one repeating the questions to a some how befuddled Biya. In a typical manipulative and unethical, and professional malpractice, the State Media – , CRTV trails the Camera instead on the journalists who poses the question as Biya fumbles the answers in vain with Macron. Professionally, the camera is to focus on the interviewee after the interviewer ask his/her question, Things didn’t really work out for the state-controlled media as the French journalists were embarrassed at the foolery and started laughing as Biya fumbles on. Even with Macron’s interpretation of the question, Biya failed to grasp anything. With CRTV now caught between the laughing journalist and a comatose Biya, an abrupt cut to the Biya’s Unity Palace was the way out of the opprobrium. With those three events supposedly to be covered by multiple national and international media outlets that Biya authorities and State Media(crtv) won’t have any control, the safest bet was for the supposedly “strong and healthy” Biya at 92 to be kept home and so shield the world from his hidden frailties, thus embarrassments.

Biya is expected to be present at this year’s 20th May Celebrations, as the sate media- crtv will be in charge, On the eve of the event, an AI- assisted Biya will be expected to be seen delivering a speech to his subjects. Authorities have been banned from carrying any electronic gadgets to the ceremony. The manipulative scheme/script has been written – avoid any close ups. no trailing of Biya for more than 4 seconds. Once Biya alights the presidential Limo, focus more on the military and after the hand shake, cut away to the flags or planes flying above. Dont’t show Biya crawling/walking to the grand stand. Show him seated instead… All these deceptive moves have been achieved thanks to AI, coercion, none-existent opposition and a docile French Cameroun public. Killings in the Anglophone Regions

It is estimated that Mr. Biya has killed more than 53,000 innocent civilians in the English-speaking regions of the country who are demanding for a safeguard of their rights in the union which they voted to belong as co-equals in 1961. More than 500,000 are internally displaced with another 90,000 as refugees in Nigeria (Click here).The 92-year-old dictator’s desire to ethnically cleans any community that opposes him are articulated even by some of his ministers who believe such actions is justified. For Biya’s Justice Minister, Momo Jean de Dieu, annihilating any Camerounian who opposes Biya will be justified just like Hitler’s massacre of 6 million “industrious and arrogant Jews”, who posed a threat to him and Germany (Click here). As one Cameroon activists puts it, “It’s hypocritical for the Israeli Ambassador to Cameroun to be outraged and demands an apology over Jews and holocaust comments, when the actual holocaust is happening with the Anglophones in Cameroon”.

The civil war, that Gregory Stanton of Genocide Watch, has emphatically stated is a genocide based on his stages of genocide has seen the killing of more than 54,000 innocent civilians since 2016. Villages more than the size of the US State of Connecticut have been burnt down by the French Cameroun soldiers (now called colonial soldiers by the citizens of the territory). This genocide is backed by France and her diplomatic allies. Despite affirmations by US diplomats like Mr. Henry Balerin, that there is “Targeted Killings” by the French Cameroun soldiers, the Biden White House silently backed France in this extermination, while acknowledging the plight of thousands of displaced people from English-speaking Cameroon(Ambazonia) around the world. The Biden Administration’s Temporary Protective Status for refugees from Kamerun is an acknowledgement of the genocide on the minority English-speaking people who are executed daily as they struggle to assert their colonial attachment to British/Anglo-Saxon values. The British Government on its part has remained silent on the killings as Paris and his colonial stooge, Paul Biya violates whatever human rights provisions exist in the world.

From the coastal town of Victoria(named after Queen Victoria of England) to the Donga River(border with Nigeria around Taraba State), 2024 saw daily human executions by the French Cameroun soldiers. Rivers are littered with corpses, stenchy farmlands from abandoned corpses shot and thrown by the soldiers. Young women are raped with their mothers, entire villages torched by the soldiers, yet the world watches in silence. The situation deteriorated under the Biden Administration as the 92-year-Biya, was handed a genocide blank check with a red carpet receptions in DC and Paris. This was not the case under Donald Trump. The Ngallah Gerald Massacre in Nkambe, 11 February 2024

The killings apart from being orchestrated by the two colonial governors in the Anglophone regions(persons who should be roommates with Charles Taylor) equally saw imposed politicians in the name of parliamentarians masterminding their own killings in their various localities. Such was the case in Nkambe Local Gov’t Area, where a locally-imposed politician from the colonial capital Yaounde not only deceived innocent school children but coerced parents out to a celebration of Youth Day – 11 February 2024, earlier banned by the leaders of the Ambazonian liberation struggle. Mr. Ngallah Gerald with soldiers and suit cases of money forced his way into the local area, bribing the civilians, coercing some. “We were warned that if we don’t go to the field, they will term us Ambas and thus be executed and dumped.” One victims relative tell reporters after a bomb explosion shattered the innocent villagers at the ceremony organized by the parachute politician. Local reports said Mr. Ngallah planned the execution to tell the world that the Ambazonian State Armies don’t care about their owns

The Meme Massacre

At least 11 innocent villagers, most of them farmers were summarily executed recently(August 2024) by French Cameroun soldiers in Kumba. The soldiers had earlier that day had a confrontation with the Ambazonia liberation forces. In their normal scorched-earth policy and indiscriminate killings in Ambazonia invaded a farming area where the farmers were working on their farms and open fire on the civilians.

Grand Mothers not left out in their massacres

Below are images of a grand mother’s head shattered by the French Cameroun soldiers in Bafut, in August 2024. She was shot alongside bike repair man. The soldiers claim they were after Ambazonia Forces, whom they call “enemies”, despite their popularity with the local population that hates the French Cameroun soldiers. The question is, ” why the head of an innocent grand mother?” The answer is the disregard for Anglophone lives by the colonial French Cameroun soldiers backed by France and the outgoing Biden Administration.

At least 1300 killed in 2024

Based on summary executions with corpses found daily on the streets and rivers in English Cameroon( French Cameroun soldiers under the 92-year Biya has killed more than 3000 Anglophones this year alone. More than 11 villages were also burnt by the soldiers. Since the civil war started in 2016, at least 53000 Ambazonians have been killed with over 500 villages burnt by the soldiers who are now called colonial soldiers. The Biden attitude towards this genocide and other conflicts in Africa masterminded by France and supported by the Biden White House contributed to the loss of the African vote by the Democrats. Rape as a weapon of the war: 15-year-old Raped Severally by FrenchCameroun Soldiers.

The 15-year-old explains how the French Cameroun colonial soldier forcefully raped her and even locked her up in his residence for a week, where she was raped daily. When the mother realized that she was raped, she decided to move her out of the village of Babanki in the northern part of English speaking Cameroon. While in the town of Bamenda she was taken to a healthcenter for check-up and the result was a pregnancy. The frustrated family threw away the girl’s cellphone to terminate any communication with the rapist. The vulnerable lady also explains how her education was torpedoed by the rapist soldiers. Her story adds to regular abuses of women as old as 73 by these French Cameroun soldiers who are still to get any punishment from any human rights organization in the world. Killing my Father while Pretending to Love Us…

A few months back French Cameroun soldiers kidnapped the family of a freedom fighter – Aladji. According to the kids, their father was never a danger to their lives nor that of the community. April 4, 2024 the French Cameroun soldiers arrested the father and killed him in yet another brutal execution in the ongoing civil war. The crime of the father was trying to fight for equality for the minority English-speaking people of the Cameroons who are treated like 4th class citizens. A military truck was deliberately run over him and his throat slit. The images below are just a sneak peek of the painful execution of Aladji. Will the Killings Continue Under Donald Trump in 2025?

The killings in the ongoing genocide in English Cameroon intensified in the las three months of the year 2024. The reasons lies in the mentality of dictator Biya who is uncertain about the 2nd Trump term. During his first term(2016-2020), President Donald Trump was hard on the dictator. The video is just about four minutes, but Epitomizes the anguish anyone goes thru in the Kameruns for criticizing Africa’s oldest and most Brutal Dictator – Paul Biya. The musician – Longue Longue often called the “Liberator” and seen as an advocate for certain ills in Africa and Cameroun, threaded into the lion’s den by critiquing the 92-year-old’s poor governance of the country. Despite being a liberator in his lyrics, he believes only God liberated him from being lynched by the French Cameroun soldiers. In addition to confiscating his passport, Longue Longue was treated with a dose of daily torture that Anglophones have been subjected to since 1961.

In the torture video, the artist is in pain pleading with his torturers. His reminder to the savages that he is the author of a song praising the first Lady of French Cameroun, Chantal Biya, couldn’t deter the officers. Locked behind a table chair, the wailing artist is tortured with a cutlass on the soles of his feet. The sanguinary soldiers could be heard forcing him to reveal to them other accomplices to the video. A reminder of the French Criminal Law system where one is guilty until he/she can prove otherwise; system that Anglophones dreaded and called fir its withdrawal from the English-speaking section of Cameroon that is accustomed to the Common Law system, of innocent until proven guilty.

While global attention even those of local diplomats in Yaounde have remained on the Israel-Palestinian War, the civil war in the Cameroons have continued unabated with the Biya administration enjoying the silent support of the White House thanks to Macron. Away from this attention, the 41-year-old regime in Yaounde has upped its brutality on the minority English-speaking people of the former British Southern Cameroons(Ambazonia) with more beheadings of innocent civilians, summary executions, razing of villages extortions and much more. A family Erased in Kumbo

A whole family of four at Bamfen Quarters, opposite the Presbyterian Church were summarily executed at 2:00 AM, 11/04/2024 by La Republic du Cameroon terrorist forces of occupation and dumped at River Roongwev.

The father,Pa Oritoi, seen laying with short pants to the left on the above picture had his throat cut off before being dumped into the river, followed by two of his son’s, Nyundzeven Alain, and Tav Elvis. The first victim known as Smart was killed at their home as he put up a fierce resistance when the terrorist forces surrounded the house at 2:00 AM and break open their door. The French Cameroun soldiers also burnt houses in the village of Sop.

The images posted by the French Cameroun soldiers are self-explanatory. It affirms the fact that extinction of the minority Anglophones is the ultimate end goal of the the French Cameroun soldiers and authorities backed by France in its bid to extend its French colonial influence in Africa.

French Cameroun Bulubeti Militias wreak Havoc in Human Rights Boss’ Village, with Beheading, Looting etc

In William Golding’s 1954 book “Lord of the Flies“, savagery and evil engulf innocent youths unchecked on an island. Here they manifest this freedom with cruelty by first viciously killing a pig and perching its head on a pole where flies congregate. Just around the time, Golding wrote this fictional novel, true heads of humans adorned French colonial Cameroun roadsides in the Bamileke and Bassa regions. Till date France has concealed this genocide from the world. Colonial French Cameroun citizens who were scared of being the next trophy head to be displayed by the roadside emigrated to the Free, peaceful British Southern Cameroon for safety. The French Cameroun colonial beasts could not trespass into British Cameroon to get any more heads to put on staffs, until the UNO and Britain handed over the British Southern Cameroons to the beast – France and French Cameroun in 1961. Like Jack and his friends in Lord of the Flies with no laws, nor formal control on the island, thus the anarchy and cruelty, French Cameroun soldiers are scofflaws, violating every global law, ethics or biblical cannons in the British Southern Cameroons.

The Invisible smoke?

With the world seeing the smoke rising like it rose for rescuers in Lord of the Flies, but deliberately looking the other way, French Cameroun Bulubeti militias – soldiers, have not only hung heads on sticks, but charred villages, and roasted citizens in their abodes. Like in Lords of the Flies, where the kids first lit their fires in the night, thus delaying their rescue, French Cameroun authorities have not only lobbied western governments to silence, but have silenced internal opposition. Churches have been silenced through co-option with threats and largess. Formal institutions with global appeals have been choked with cronies, ready to write a clean Bill of Rights to the international community.

The latest reality is in Bafut, home of the Chairman of the ruse called National Commission for Human Rights in Cameroun, Mr. Chemuta Divine Banda. Mr. Chemuta is a former diplomat with several ambassadorial years in the west. As usual with the ruling Cameroun Peoples’ Democratic Movement (CPDM) Party in Cameroun, being a senior citizen is one of the cherished criteria for acceptability and advancement in the party. Returning home, Mr. Banda did not fail to enlist in the party. He ran unsuccessfully as a CPDM member of parliament in his native Bafut. Such open militancy was no doubt assuring to the king pins of the party. As a former diplomat as well, he was suited to conceal abuses to the West, after all, they have known him well as a diplomat. With such firm beliefs, Mr. Chemuta Divine was thus appointed by dictator Biya as the Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights and Freedoms. With abuses documented all over the country, the stooge has remained mute, with his title used as a ruse to the global community that, there is a watch dog on abuses in Cameroun.

The Genocide in British Cameroon and his weakness

With thousands killed and villages burnt in the territory by French Cameroun Bulubeti militias, the commission was no where to be found. The last evidence of the commission’s worthlessness was on 9th May, 2019, at a conference in Yaounde, when the chairman was rudely interrupted by his two vices from dictator Paul Biya’s Bulubeti clan – James Mouangue Kobilla and Professor Atangana nee Ngo Oum Therese). Mr. Chemuta Divine Banda, had revealed that he had called the octogenerian – Paul Biya, to ask him to halt the war in British Cameroon and engage in inclusive dialogue. The vice persons, in the midst of observers and journalists made it clear to Mr. Chemuta Banda, that he as chairman was to get an authorization from them to mention anything about the killings and burning in British Cameroon. Since then, Mr. Chemuta has remained mute on the Atrocity Crimes, while the French Cameroun authorities use his position to deceive the world.

The Bafut Rape, massacres, Beheading and Chemuta’s silence

Mr. Chemuta has remained silent on the destruction in his own village, Bafut since the onset of the British Cameroon uprising. Several people have lost their lives from the Bulubeti militias. Bafut has been burnt, with the soldiers attacking even the sacred Bafut Palace – UNESCO world Heritage site. In all, more than 300 people have lost their lives in the village.

The latest gruesome murder was on the 26th of April, 2020, when the marauding French Cameroun soldiers invaded the quiet village. The shooting, destruction and looting were the rule. The sacred palace was desecrated, personal properties like goats and chickens were seized, some roasted in the same compounds after chasing the owners away. A lucid warning was sent to the world and to Mr. Chemuta in particular, that titles and positions don’t matter as long as you are from British Cameroon. Awa Pius, an innocent civilian who had quenched the thirst of the marauding soldiers was beheaded by the same soldiers and his head hung by the roadside for all to see their “professionalism”. An innocent mother in her sixties was gang-raped by the soldiers. More than 32 people were also killed with more than 15 homes torched by the soldiers (details later). In all these Atrocity Crimes,, the Human Rights crusader – Chemuta Banda, is no where to be found. His close collaborators and friends at their social groups are still to get a word of remorse from the head of the National Commission for Human Rights and Freedoms in Cameroun. Who doubts the fact that, when a people (British Cameroonians) are called dogs, they deserve to die.

Cameroun: More Internally- Displaced Anglo-War Victims in Yaounde

Instead of moving refugees back to their villages less than 20 KMs away, (because the French Cameroun, Bulubeti Militias are still burning and killing), French Cameroun in a show of media desperation is said to have flown some British Cameroon Refugees about 561 km away to its capital Yaounde, on 31 November, 2019. These are some of the refugees that the same government ordered to relocate and follow suit by burning them and their villages, especially the old who could not re-locate as they ordered. The said refugees (mostly French Cameroun citizens who were caught in the burning), are being ferried to swell the ranks of more than 800,000 internally-displaced British Cameroonians in the Town, living in misery with constant harassment. This violation of international laws further entrenches the disaster of the UN as a lame-duck organization, bent on giving legitimacy to the new breed of “Hitlers” with impunity. This UN’s willful neglect of the conflict in the Cameroons, is metamorphosing into the greatest disaster of the UN, its Security Council Members and its agencies. The conflict which has displaced more than 2.5 million people both nationally and internationally is showing just how ineffective the organization has become.

Easiest Conflict to Resolve

The conflict according to experts is the easiest to be resolved by an organization trumpeting itself as the harbinger of global peace, security and guarantor of safety/refuge for the persecuted. The parties to the Union of the Two Cameroons in 1961, such as the Queen of England, UN and many voters are still alive. So why allow the killing of innocent children, when those running away know the facts of the conflict and blame the UN for denying them JUSTICE? “Should MIGHT BE RIGHT? Even when the facts are indisputable?” A frustrated refugee asked to Antonio Guterres, UN SG. No doubt the conflict has been marked by Lies Deception, Denials, Silence and intransigence. The perpetrator of the Conflict – French Cameroun’s President Paul Biya, in November 2019, in Paris stated that he wanted to assimilate the English-speaking people who came to the Union in 1961. Think of the UK telling Scotland that they wanted to erase their identity, or Canada telling the world that the war she declared on Quebec was because he wanted to assimilate the French-speaking people of the province to the majority English-speaking country. A global outrage would have ensued. Why should more than 20,000 people be killed because a Neo-colonialist leader is bent on spreading European influence, not an African culture, on another African Country. Why he asked to he UN System?

The UN has failed to give protection to the “Targeted killing” of the minority English people. Instead of embarking on a negotiation with the parties to get to the root cause of the conflict, it has opted for cosmetic solutions, falsifying the history in trying to justify the ethnic cleansing. With more than 1.500,000 internally displaced and more than 3million children in the territory not going to school, the French Cameroun authorities, in a typical colonial style pulled ot another scam in its tool box to further embarass the global system and UN in particular. It has embarked on forcefully repatriating refugees (mostly French Cameroun citizens) who got caught up in the torch war fare and now refugees in Nigeria, to display to the docile UN and its accomplice agencies in Yaounde as a solution to the conflict that has erased more than 10,000 homes in more than 300 communities. The question one authority from one of the refugee camps in Nigeria has for the UN and its failed Agencies is is why should British Cameroonians be killed by /french Cameroun, when they left Nigeria in 1954, without a spank?

The conflict as the UN and its members know has continued because the US Trusteeship Council, which still meets is unwillingness to demand for the balkanized African countries to maintain their various European-induced boundaries at their “supposed” independence, which is 1960 for French Cameroon (an its fixed boundary) and 1961 for British Cameroon (with its own fixed bundary)

The month was brutal as usual with abundant War Crimes, enough to again display to the world. From Malende in the farming town of Muyuka, through Bome Bakundu to Mbot in the Northern part of the British Cameroun, the French Cameroun Bulubeti Militias/soldiers were competing for the highest killer prize of the innocent citizens of English Cameroon. In Muyuka, the soldiers invaded villagers in their makeshift homes in the forest killing and burning them and their shacks, with their cocoa as well. The same soldiers again arrested more innocent civilians (bike riders) in the village of Mbot in Northern Zone of the territory and transported them to a field where they were publicly-executed on 4 November, 2019, around 11:00 Am, as evidenced by the military photographer’s shots. As is typical of the soldiers they tried to justify their War Crimes by tagging the bodies with local farming tools. Apart from the silence of the international Community, this month alone, French War ships are reported to have docked in the waters of French Cameroun. The result was more military assistance to the sanguinary regime of Paul Biya. British Cameroon, it should be reminded voluntarily joined French Cameroun in 1961, as an autonomous entity.

While some morsel of condemnation has mostly come from the United States, the French and British have remained mute on the Atrocity Crimes on the people. The killings this month add to the casualty rate of the conflict that has claimed more than 15000 lives. Human Rights organizations have largely shied away from the Atrocity Crimes, issuing ill-informed releases on the conflict. Others that have attempted to visit the conflict region have been refused by French Cameroun. Sadly, some of these organizations have gone ahead to issue casualty figures, thus begging the question of when did they visit the conflict region, where more than 2 million children are out of school, with about a million internally-displaced. The need for a War Crimes Tribunal, independent investigation and a Peacekeeping Mission to the territory is long overdue. History of the two Trust Territories of the Kameruns are very clear in all global archives. British Cameroon got her independence in 1961, and French Cameroun in 1960. The two countries later came together in 1961 as two autonomous regions. French Cameroun later dissolved the status of the minority English people leading to the current conflict. The motivation being the rich oil reserves of the British Territory.
