Must Read: Missed Opportunity for Peace? Renowned Stakeholders not Invited to Attend Cameroun’s National Dialogue.

The most talked about National Dialogue by Cameroun authorities after years of Brutality and Atrocity Crimes on the minority English-speaking people of British Cameroon, was to include all stakeholders. While many have insisted that the dialogue should be to address the British Southern Cameroon issue and not a Kamerun issue, some have kept their fingers crossed. The list of invitees have left many wondering what effect will the dialogue have, if the current invitees bear semblance to the ruling party’s congress. Conspicuously absent in the lists are people who would have no doubt made valuable contributions to the dialogue. These people have been consciously ignored, by the French Cameroun-appointed governors to the British Cameroons, even by the church whose biblical teachings forbid such harm to these people. Below are some of the people, their pictures and stories consciously “UNINVITED” by the Prime Minister of Cameroun to the so-called dialogue. Please read their stories and share to the authorities concerned, if they can be invited or acknowledged for their contribution to the dialogue.

British S.Cameroon Genocide: Fon Angwafor Praises French Cameroun Military for Killing his Own People.

Born in 1925, the Fon of Mankon, Solomon Anyeghamotü NdefruAngwafor III, has praised the French Cameroun Military for a job well done, in the ongoing genocide in British Southern Cameroon. Speaking to Equinox Television in his palace in Mankon, September 16, 2019. The staunch supporter of frail 86-year-old Paul Biya, of French Cameroon stated that, by taking up arms against “Our Army” – The French Cameroon Army, the British Southern Cameroonians defending their families are against him as a traditional ruler. Visibly angry, the traditional ruler emphatically said he will never support the return to the pre -1961, status of the two former UN mandated territories of French Cameroun and British Cameroon. He thus vowed to hand over a united Kamerun to the next ruler as he handed British Southern Cameroon to Ahidjo and French Cameroun in 1961.

Fon Angwafor III, Greeting a French Diplomat in his Palace; a Taboo in the Grassfield Tradition of British Cameroon

Reaction to the Fon’s statements have been swift on social media, some describing him as a troop of old lackeys who still believe they can determine the future of the youths of today. Some equally question the Fon’s sense of empathy and sympathy based on the number of innocent people killed in his Fondom by the French Cameroun military he praises. Others have equally warned of severe consequences if the Fon embarks on the “scam” called dialogue. “Fon Angwafor is part of the greedy anti-democratic CPDM octogenarians who think they must be in political authority till they are lowered into the grave”, one angry individual writes on wattapp. Another who identifies herself as Princess Harriet, while pleading with the Fon to reason with the suffering people of British Cameroon, equally questions the Fon’s sense of truth. “Is this what you voted for Mbeh” The Princess questions? ” You voted for a federal structure. What happened to it” The female royalty pushes further. “To see Cameroon United Fon Angwafor, should simply ask for a referendum for British Cameroonians as they did in 1961”. Another concluded.

Fon Angwafor III, Praising the French Cameroun Army for Causing Mayhem on his People.

It should be noted that, despite his robust support for the French Cameroun military, the same military has wrecked havoc in the Fon’s fondom. The Village of Alaachu was completely burnt by the French Cameroun military on 16 May, 2019, to the cowardice of the Fon who raised no protest. Several livestock were also killed by the military. The latest gruesome killing in the Fondom was a 24-year-old Nurse Carine and her sister shot point blank by the military, when Carine and sister made the mistake of identifying themselves as Anglophones. The French Cameroun military are often selective in their killings. French speakers have been spared, while English speakers have been selectively shot.

British S.Cameroon Genocide: Cardinal Tumi, Confesses for Trying to Deceive Anglophones

Retired Catholic Clergy, Cardinal Christian Tumi, of the Republique of Cameroun, has openly confessed that they deliberately tried to influence the outcome of a survey of British Southern Cameroonians on the form of the state of Kamerun. Speaking to Equinox Television, in the French Cameroun Economic Capital of Douala, on September 16, 2019, the prelate said the interviewees refused to hear about federalism, which they stated was the form of the state. “When we said what form of government will solve this problem, we made the choice for them like Federation, Decentralization. Just about 4 or 5 reacted out of a thousand“. The Cardinal said 69% of the respondents added the third option with the qualifier “ABSOLUTE” Separation. “We were taken aback” Cardinal Tumi said. To the man of God, it is clear that 69% of British Cameroonians are convinced that if Anglophones and Francophones want to live as brothers and sisters, then absolute separation is the form of governance. Quizzed on the idea of secession to be included in the dialogue, Cardinal Tumi was blunt that the subject must be included. President Paul Biya, he said cannot deny the will of the people, as the state is not God’s creation. The prelate equally stated that he firmly believes that separation can solve the problem from their research on the field.

Cry My Beloved British Cameroon

The man of God also made it clear that his position has always been a federal system, as he personally fought for it. He however regretted the bad faith of French Cameroun ruling authorities, who neglected the 1996 constitution. To him, effective decentralization would have prevented the conflict. Nostalgic about British Cameroon, the soft-spoken Tumi, decried abuses by the French Cameroun ruling authorities. “I first saw a Policeman with a gun, after unification. Police men had batons in British Cameroon. After unification, we see a police man with a gun, ready to fire, and brutalize”. On the abysmal French judicial system, he decried arbitrary arrests and jailing of people for years without trial. “Everything here is force, force, force. We are not used to that. This country is a different thing”. Cardinal Tumi stated

Christian Cardinal Tumi

On the neutrality of the host of the the trumpeted national dialogue, including its chair, Mr. Dion Ngute, of the ruling CPDM party, the Cardinal, called on participants to give him the benefit of doubt. He however warned of chaos if transparency is found wanting. He equally endorsed the presence of the military, claiming the military has played an important role in the conflict.

The conflict it should be recalled started in 2016 as a peaceful demand by people of the former British Southern Cameroon, (an autonomous entity that voted to join an independent French Cameroun in 1961 as two equal partners ) for equality. Their demands were met by the full weight of the French Cameroun military leading to a planned ethnic targeting of the English-speaking people. Till date more than 14,300 people have been killed by the French Cameroun military. (click here for corpses), close to 10,000 homes burnt. (Click here for evidence). Refugees in Nigerian number more than 50,000, while close to 2 million are internally displaced. For three years schools in the British Cameroons have remained ineffective. Worthy of note is the fact that life in French Cameroun has remained unperturbed while their military rape and annihilate villages in British Cameroon. Of all the clamour for talks, the participants have refused to talk about the people killed. According to a victim whose mother was shot by the Cameroun military on her way to church, dialogue should begin by counting the killed. This he said can only be done by a neutral party. It should be noted that despite a call for some sort of talks, the killings in British Cameroon by the French Cameroun military continues. More than 450 have been killed in the past two months.(Click here for evidence )

British S.Cameroon Genocide: Babies, Pregnant Women among the +160 Killed in August 2019, by French Cameroun Soldiers.

The predominantly Fulanis herders under the watchful eye of the French Cameroun-appointed Governor to the Northern Zone of British Cameroun, Lele Afrique, continue their ethnic cleansing of their host – the natives in the locality of Wum, about 50 miles from the city of Bamenda. Report indicates more killings and burning of villages. Most of these Fulanis are well armed by the state. In other areas of the northern Zone of the territory, the genocide continued unabated with babies including the unborn and their mothers killed by Lele Afrique in th town of Ndop. Midnight raids in homes saw more extra-judicial assassinations of women and children like in Njenefor, Nkwen, a few miles from the town of Bamenda on 6 August, 2019.

The Southern Zone of the territory witnessed same massacres by another French Cameroun appointed Governor Mr. Okalia Bilai. Fako and Meme saw the colonizer’s wrath with innocent children being deprived of their parents. Okalia in broad daylight ordered the most gruesome massacres of the month in Muyuka and Mutengene. In Mutengene, an innocent mother went into a coma as the fresh blood of his son shot by the French Cameroun Bulubeti militias clotted in his arms. (Watch the video below).

Eye Witness Account of Some of the Murders in Muyuka

This eye witness narrates the ordeal in Muyuka, when Okalia Bilai’s Bulubeti Militia, invaded the peaceful area: “Shockingly, this is Muyuka 4/08/2019, precisely Makanga. You won’t believe that being on Sunday in a peaceful atmosphere after churches have closed people in their various quarters, occasions going on, funerals and normal businesses, at around 8 pm military men just storm the quarter with armor vehicles, dangerous war equipment, surprised people with constant saturating gunshots such that people confused what was happening, as the people scattered and ran to either directions, many unfortunately fell into the hands of military who carried them to GBHS front gate and shot them all death. Some happen to be missing only to discovered they were carried to another location after their station called Meanger and killed there. From many points of view they were killed in that way so that it won’t be like mass massacre. Among those in the photo are Mr Abraham with Jean and tennis a palm wine tapper, Mr Joe a road side petrol seller with black trousers, a man called Pa Faith a chemist seller in the middle,  a bike rider whose name am still to know. All were at their business centers when they were caught and taken to murder. Heart breaking, Pa Faith is supposed to have his marriage ceremony on the coming Saturday at Catholic Church Makanga. God sees this, nature sees this, the world sees this; what Cameroun government prefer to do southern Cameroon for crime they haven’t committed except seeking for independence from the brutal colonial rule over them. I don’t know if Paul Biya is now the world president or God of gods, pharaoh, Herod and Nebuchadnezzar …….. “. ( For more body counts, click here)

Another gruesome massacre took place in the Northern Zone, where the Bulubeti militias fulfilled a killer mission that began more than 60 years back, under Paul Biya’s mentor Ahidjo. Njenefor (also known as Mberegha) in Nkwen Fondom, Northern Zone of British Southern Cameroon, is the embodiment of British Southern Cameroons’ hospitality. Nkwen indigenes and those of nearby villages of Bafut and Bambui refer to the area as “Ntongtu”, the generic name for Bamileke people from French Cameroun. Most Citizens of the far off village (Njenefor), originated from French Cameroun. Running from persecution from Ahidjo, Biya and the French colonial administration in the late 50s and early 60s, the Fon of Nkwen at the time gave them refuge at this distant forest. The area was cut-off from the entire Nkwen Village; guarded by numerous hills, rivers and streams. (Read more here…)

The day this lady cried because her only son was killed by French Cameroun soldiers, of no fault of hers; the pain, the tears, the agony, would have pricked the soul of any leader, to address the pain as the chief sympathizer. Al he did was praised the soldiers and supplied more fire power and international lobbying funds.

” Any government in the world would have addressed the protesters’ demand, but being inferior human beings, Paul Biya of French Cameroun did not. Through his French-Speaking governors in the British Southern Cameroons Paul Biya ordered the Police, French para-military – Gerdames, Biya’s personal militia squad – BIR, undercover officers and regular army to open fire. Many were executed, some with hardware such as helicopter gun ships, and war cannons”. He relaxed at the presidential villa by doing this:

On October 6, 2016, lawyer and teacher trade unions in the Anglophone regions initiated a strike. Led by Barrister Agbor BallaFontem Neba, and Tassang Wilfred, they were protesting against the appointment of French-speaking judges in the British Southern Cameroons. The Cameroonian government deployed security forces to crack down on the protests. Protesters were attacked with tear gas, and many lawyers were brutally assaulted by soldiers. Throughout November 2016, thousands of teachers in the Anglophone regions joined the lawyers’ strike. All schools in the Anglophone regions were shut down. Akum Julius, Shot in Bamenda 8 December, 2016

On 22 September, 2017, the population of the British Southern Cameroon came out to the streets with tree branches – signalling peace, to demand for the respect of their anglo-saxon heritage. They came out again on 1st October, 2017, to symbolically declare their independence. The date is of significance to the British Southern Cameroonians, as it reminisces 1961 when they voted to form a union of two equals with French-Cameroun, then an independent country in 1960. British S.Camroon Genocide: Bloody Day as French Cameroun Militias Rush to Meet Monthly Killing Tally.

Since January 2019, French Cameroun authorities and soldiers have killed at least two hundred civilians in British S. Cameroon per month (see images of +200 killed in July 2019), (Killed in August, 2019 + 160). A region that has incessantly exhibited its disdain for French Cameroun administration, through boycotts and civil disobedience. Unable to achieve earlier assimilation goals through appointed French administrators, French Cameroun authorities resorted to militarily imposing its undemocratic French administrative systems on these anglophone people who believe in representative democracy.

Still unable to enforce this French Napoleonic system of coercion not persuasion in social, cultural, economic and political life, the French Cameroun authorities started a genocide on the people of this once autonomous and self-governing former British territory. The result has been a systematic extinction of the people in what the U.S Ambassador to Cameroon, Henry Balerin, categorically calls “Targeted Killing of Anglophones”. Close to 14,000 have been killed (see the images here) with an average monthly killing of 200 individuals and 7 torched villages (See torched villages here). As the month of August 2019, winds down with the death tally falling behind, the French authorities are in a rush to make up the body counts before the month runs out.

Thursday 29, Nvember 2019, seems to be the day to make up the lagging figures. From Ndop, Banja, and Nkwen in the Northern zone to Ewelle, Kumba in the south zone, the arrogant Bulubeti militias of 86-year-old Paul Biya, were ruthless, breaking into homes as early as 4am and picking up mostly males and executing them on the streets. Reports indicate that about 30 innocent civilians were killed on this day – 29 August, 2019. The heaviest figures are from Baba in Ndop area in the Northern Zone with more than 21 killed. It has been a regular feature of the barbarism that the world has turned a deaf ear and blind eye to, despite social media providing the evidence on a daily basis.

Online news site – National Telegraph, describes the massacres in Manyu of the Southern Zone thus : “They broke into houses, arrested dozens and assembled them in the village town hall before ending up killing some. The Youth President, Arrey Daniel Oben was shot and killed on his way to the farm while the corpses of Agbor Peter and Ntui Micheal Manyor have been discovered along Ewelle and Kembong, a nearby village. Peter and Micheal were among those arrested but were shot, killed and dumped along the road as the military ferried the arrestees to a nearby detention facility in Mamfe, the Division’s headquarters, sources say
Two other corpses were found between Nfuni and Ossing, nearby villages to the scene of the incident, sources say but were unable to provide details of victims’ identities”.

Below are some of the images of those killed by French Cameroun Bulubeti Militias on 29 August, 2019. The region is currently observing a civil disobedience, to protest the bad treatment of citizens of the territory incarcerated in French Cameroun dungeons since 2016.

Home Town Massacres: Santa’s Waiting for Atanga Nji’s Apology (1)

The question that has eluded press men to Mr. Atanga Nji, has been his qualification to be a Minister in Kamerun. From his utterances of using “The President” in all actions and conversations, even private ceremonies, shows loyalty is the criterion for him being a minister in French Cameroun. Having no credentials that can keep one employed elsewhere without political appointments/compensations, you certainly becomes what the late Nigerian Afro-beat Artist Fela calls Zombie – A human robot who acts without reasoning. “Tellam make e go kill, jorojara jo” sings Fela. Atanga Nji, is one of those forfeited British Southern Cameroonians who has banked his entire life in executing every fetal mission from French Cameroon, even on his people. History teaches us that warriors seldom turn their guns on their own people, talk less to your own village kinsmen. Atanga Nji’s Santa Sub Division, ushered in the genocide with arrogant grandeur.

Mr. Atanga Nji

After his appointment in March 2018, by the 86-year-old Paul Biya, as the Territorial Administration Minister, the former prison graduate who exudes more anger than reasoning orchestrated the first gruesome massacre of his people, in the ongoing genocide in British Southern Cameroon. The date was May 25th, 2018, in Santa.

That night of 25th May, 2018, shall forever live in infamy in the minds of British Southern Cameroonians. The entire people of Santa precisely around the village of Menka, woke up to see their green scenery transformed into blood and gloom. Even the chirping savannah birds in this usually beautiful spring morning could not squeeze a smile from any citizen of the village. Yes, every face was united in anger and grief. Even the masterminds are said to have felt remorseful for the job their boss – The french-speaking appointed governor of the region Mr. Lele Afrique ordered them to do. The story from the lying government of Issa Tchirouma and the armchair global media was “terrorists killed” in Santa. Beneath these inaccurate global headlines lies the anguish of parents who saw close to 37 of their kids slaughtered by the same government that is responsible for their safety.

In the mangled and blood soaked bodies was that of young Sidonie, Atanga Nji’s terrorist hanging from one of the ceilings of the rooms in the building. The seemingly isolated building is where village teens usually congregate every night to play card games, and do other fun things that communities that lack televisions or other entertainment gadgets usually do in the evenings. Her red jacket like that of Michael Jackson Thriller, remains indelible in the mind and conscience of sympathizers till date. For the home town, boy turn villain – Atanga Nji, they were terrorists.

One person who survived the massacre was whisked off from his hospital bed in the nearby village of Akum, alongside his two siblings and massacred by the French Cameroun military. They wanted to delete any living witness of the genocide. The local government authority in the area failed even to visit the bereaved families. A confirmation that they knew the planned assassinations. This prompted the local opposition leader Mr. Fru Ndi to put the planned massacre squarely on Atanga Nji’s French Cameroun government (Video). A village hearse – clunker pickup did the door-to-door identification and delivery of the corpses to the devastated parents and community. Biya’s trumpeted reconciliation sham commission is still to ask Mr. Atanga Nji, to apologize to the bereft families.

Atang Nji’s Pain on Weeping Families

While Santa was weeping, Atanga Nji, as the commanding minister had ordered more extra-judicial killings in nearby Momo region. They were murdered and dumped in Bali, some 15kms from Santa. Sympathizers later buried them in mass graves. Till date, accountability and remorse have been absent. Paranoid anglophones credit Atanga Nji, for inflaming the conflict. His bogus utterances on state TV they say helped distanced many people from the government. For the “genociders” like Atanga Nji, the grieving families just have to suck it, as open mourning is an invitation to more fire power.

Mass Burials of Civilians Killed in Momo.

But just how many has Atanga Nji killed in his native Santa Sub division, whom he is supposed to protect as kinsmen. What are his chances of him being at ICC docks one day? (Read part 2)

British S.Cameroon Genocide: Biya Fulfills Murder Mission 60 years after.

It was poorly-accessible until the arrival of the Apostolic Secondary School in the 90s, and of late the Yong Sports Academy Complex. Here, these persecuted thrived and embedded in the local community. Though feeling relatively save for the time being, their fear of the Biya/Ahidjo regime was discernible through their stories.

On the 6 August, 2019, the Biya administration made real the fear these people harbored of the French Cameroun regime. The dreaded French colonial military whom they had escaped years back, stormed the area and assassinated more than seven individuals. Among them was Mangie Ille, whose parents had escaped the Biya and Ahidjo murder machines from French Cameroun during the pre and post-colonial eras. The hardworking lady was pulled out of her home with her two children and executed – memento of the Forchive/Biya/Ahidjo era in the Bamileke Regions of French Cameroun in the early 60s.

One survivor – innocent rock miner on his way to his mine site that morning, narrates how he was caught, tortured and forced to assemble the corpses. The traumatized man describes how, he heard the men planning to kill him after assembling the corpses. ” When I saw an opening, I fled. They fired at me. It is thanks to God, that I am alive”. The battered innocent man narrates. Investigations indicate that the mastermind is a former Okada rider, turn BIR – Mr. Awantang. The former Okada rider from Mbesi quarter in Nkwen, who now resides at Up Station, is versed with the quarter, and knows every home and occupant. Security men around Mawa Hotel in the area equally confirmed the said action was executed by BIRs from Up Station, ordered by the Governor of the area – Mr. Lele Afrique.

Ille pulled out of her home and assassinated, with her two children.

The French Cameroun colonial authorities do not give reasons for these extra-judicial killings, but grapevine has it that they assumed Ambazonia forces usually drink at her bar. Assuming this is true, how does killing a woman and her family help Fai Yengo’s Peace and Reconciliation Commission? How does it also win minds? French Cameroun colonial forces can only assassinate Ille and others thanks to the imposed unification that allowed French Cameroun soldiers to move across Matadzem (The boundary between the two territories), when they hitherto could not before 1961.

The Bamileke and Bassa Genocides

In the 1950s French forces were responsible for the massacre and exile of leaders of the dissident independent political party, the UPC, which was banned in 1955. “Cameroon’s independence from France was a bitter struggle,” Cameroonian editorialist Gabriel Mbarga told RFI (Read more).
